Here are some awesome Google Pixel 3 accessories and cases
The Google Pixel 3 and Google Pixel 3 XL finally launched today in New York City. While there weren’t too many surprises at the event — considering most of the information on the phones leaked weeks ago — the two devices still have some interesting and exciting features and you might want to own one!
When you buy a new smartphone though, you’re not just getting the phone. You also have to buy complementary accessories for the device, like cases, headphones, screen protectors, etc. With that in mind, it’s good to know what Google Pixel 3 accessories are available, which is what this roundup is all about!
Check out our favorite Google Pixel 3 accessories below!
Cases and screen protectors
Of all the Google Pixel 3 accessories you plan to buy, none will be as important as the case. Not only does the case protect your smartphone investment from the inevitable drops and spills you’ll put it through (you know it’s true), but the case will also be an expression of who you are.
With that last part in mind, no case is as cool as the Google My Case which lets you fully customize the look of your smartphone protection:
With Google My Case, you not only can customize your case with your own photos or designs, but you can also keep the case aligned with the color of your Pixel 3. If, for example, you buy the new Not Pink color Pixel 3, the case itself will also feature the exact same Not Pink color trim, which will keep everything nice and uniform.
Unfortunately, Google My Case is not cheap: it costs $50 for all that customization. But this is still probably the coolest of the available Google Pixel 3 accessories, as it lets you express yourself and your individual taste.
If you want your phone to match well with the rest of the Google hardware products, then the standard Google Pixel 3 fabric case is your best bet. It has the same fabric design as the Google Home smart speaker and comes in a variety of nifty colors: Carbon (black), Indigo (blue), Fog (gray), and Pink Moon. Check them out below:
The fabric-style cases cost $40 each. Check them all out here.
If you’re the kind of person who needs total security when it comes to the structural integrity of their smartphone, you likely don’t want to buy any Google Pixel 3 accessories that don’t feature the word “OtterBox” on them. Well, lucky for you there is an OtterBox case for the Pixel 3 available for pre-order right now which will make your phone virtually indestructible:
The Google Pixel 3 OtterBox will set you back $50, which is a reasonable price to pay to know your phone will withstand whatever calamities you throw at it.
If you want a smartphone case which features a good amount of protection but doesn’t make your device look like it’s sitting in a car tire, you might want to take a look at the Incipio Under Armor Protect Verge for the Google Pixel 3. Right now, the case is only available through a waitlist, but it’s sleek clear back and fashionable, textured siding will protect your phone while preserving its natural beauty. It will cost $40.
Check it out below:
If you’re looking for something ultra fashionable, you might want to check out the 100 percent leather Bellroy Leather Case for Google Pixel 3. With three color options to choose from (Black, Navy, and Caramel), you’ll get the protection benefits of a full case, the benefits of a textured, easy-to-hold back, and earn some fashion points for your phone’s overall look.
Check out the different choices below:
The Bellroy Leather Case is actually pretty reasonably priced, considering it’s all real leather. The Google Pixel 3 case will set you back $45, while the Pixel 3 XL version will cost $49.
Finally, no matter which case you buy, you’re going to need a screen protector. Even if you decide to go naked and not buy a case, a screen protector is indispensable when it comes to Google Pixel 3 accessories.
Google recommends the InvisibleShield Glass+ VisionGuard Screen Protector for Google Pixel 3. It’s as premium as it gets at $45, but this is probably the only screen protector you’ll need for your new smartphone investment.
Unfortunately, the InvisibleShield Glass+ VisionGuard Screen Protector for Google Pixel 3 is listed only as “Coming Soon” at the Google Store, but it will likely become available closer to the middle of October when the devices start shipping.
Charging and dongles
One of the standout features of the Google Pixel 3 as compared to previous Pixel generations is the fact that it can be wirelessly charged. If you’re going to spend $800 or more on a smartphone with wireless charging capabilities, you’d better get something to wirelessly charge it!
Google created the Pixel Stand — the company’s first wireless charging dock — to not only charge your Pixel 3 but also give it new functionality. Using Pixel Stand, you can turn your phone into a de facto smart display, as placing your Pixel 3 onto the stand triggers a new UI within Android. It gives you quick access to Google Assistant, plays a photo slideshow, and does other neat tricks which your standard wireless charging docks won’t do: Google
Granted, the Google Pixel 3 will come with a USB Type-C cable and wall adapter in the box, so you don’t really need the Pixel Stand. But you have to admit, the device is really cool and probably worth its $79 asking price.
If you’d rather stick with charging your phone with a wire, you might want to invest in the Moshi USB-C Digital Audio Adapter with Charging. This will enable you to plug your “legacy” headphones into your Pixel 3 using the dongle’s headphone jack, while also allowing you to charge your Pixel 3 at the same time:
This incredibly useful dongle will set you back $40, which is pretty steep considering it really only gives you a headphone jack which probably should have come with the Pixel 3 anyway. But that’s clearly a losing battle, so invest in this Moshi USB-C Digital Audio Adapter to charge and listen to tunes at the same time.
Speaking of listening to tunes…
Earbuds
There may be no headphone jack on the Google Pixel 3, but that shouldn’t stop you from using your new smartphone to listen to music, watch movies, or binge the latest podcast episodes. To do that, you’re going to need some earbuds, and luckily there are some good options for you.
When you buy your Google Pixel 3, you’ll find a set of Google Pixel USB-C earbuds right inside the box (thanks, Google). They look a lot like the Pixel Buds, but are wired instead of wireless:
Obviously, if you buy a Pixel 3 you already have these earbuds, but if you lose them or want a second backup pair, they’ll only cost you $30 from the Google Store.
If you’re looking to invest in something wireless with more features, you might want to bite the bullet and get some Google Pixel Buds. Unfortunately, Google didn’t launch the follow-up to the Pixel Buds today at its hardware event, so the original pair is what you’ll have to stick with for now:
The Google Pixel Buds are much more expensive than their wired counterparts and will cost you a cool $159.
Finally, if you’re looking for something that you can run and workout with, you might want to check out the Jaybird Tarah Sport Wireless Headphones. They are wireless like the Google Pixel Buds, but are waterproof and have extra stability via the in-ear inserts. They also are cheaper at only $99:
Gaming and photography
There’s no question that the Google Pixel 2 has one of the best mobile camera setups available, and we can only expect the Google Pixel 3 to meet or exceed its predecessor in that respect.
However, if you want to take some truly great photos, you would do well to invest in a bigger, more professional lens for your Google Pixel 3. That’s where the Moment Photo Case & Wide Lens Kit comes in!
With the Moment snap-on lenses, you can take your smartphone photography up a notch and get some truly stunning photo and video. Best of all, you can invest in other moment lenses in the future and snap them on to the Pixel 3 case.
The Google Pixel 3 Moment Photo Case & Wide Lens Kit is listed as “Coming Soon” and will cost $130. But the wait will be worth it, as this is some serious photography gear.
If you’re not too into photos but really into gaming, we’ve got a Google Pixel 3 accessory for you as well. The specs of the Pixel 3 will make it able to handle pretty much any mobile game you throw at it, but on-screen buttons are never fun to use.
That’s why you should check out the Gamevice GV186 controller for Google Pixel 3:
Just snap your Google Pixel 3 (or Google Pixel 2!) into the Gamevice and you’ll have full gaming controller button access which will help you play better and with more comfort. Best of all, this Google Pixel 3 accessory is only $80.
