Verizon puts the Pixel 3 price at $799.99, offering buy-one-get-one-free
- The Pixel 3 price on Verizon may have leaked directly from the carrier itself.
- The handset is up for pre-order on the carrier’s website, though Google won’t officially reveal it for some hours.
- The price is listed at $799 for the 64GB Pixel 3. The Pixel 3 XL price isn’t listed.
While Google maintains some surprises remain for the Pixel 3 launch, we already know heaps about it — we’ve even held the Pixel 3 XL in our hands. Yet the price for the new Google flagship has remained elusive. Thanks to Verizon, however, we may now have a solid idea of how much the phone will cost.
The information appeared on Verizon’s website (via The Verge) earlier today, mere hours before Google’s Pixel 3 launch event. The page shows a two-for-one Pixel 3 pre-order offer, with the phone’s price set at $799 for the 64GB model (the image shows the Pixel 3 XL, so the offer may apply to that handset too).
The pre-order button leads to a broken page, so we don’t get a chance to learn the prices for the other storage variants or the XL model. Presumably, the link will be fixed once Google launches the phone.
The Pixel 2 (64GB) cost $649 with Verizon at launch and the Pixel 2 XL ($64GB) started at $849. Google sold the phones for these prices too, so if this latest information is accurate, we should see the Pixel 3 (64GB) cost $799 at the Google Store also.
The banner ad for the promotion doesn’t always appear on the website but you can sometimes find it by going incognito. We suspect the Pixel 3 is another Verizon-exclusive smartphone.
For the extra $150 you’d pay for a Pixel 3 compared to the Pixel 2, you’ll get a larger display, a Snapdragon 845 chip, two front cameras, and more. Read our very early impressions of the phone at the link and don’t miss the live event stream starting at 11 AM ET.
