  • Notorious leaker Evan Blass suggests we might see the LG foldable phone at CES 2019.
  • Not much is known about LG’s foldable phone, but it might not be the only one at the tech conference.
  • LG confirmed earlier this month that it will release a foldable phone.

Earlier this morning, notorious leaker Evan Blass (@EVLeaks) tweeted some speculatory news about LG’s ambitions regarding its foldable phone. According to Blass, LG will present its foldable device at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January.

Blass doesn’t say much else about the rumor, but he’s one of the most reliable leakers in the industry, so it very well could be true. The tweet is posted below:

In the tweet, Blass references Samsung, which is another company developing a foldable phone. We know Samsung will give a sneak peek of its foldable device in November at its Samsung Developers Conference. However, the device itself likely won’t be there — instead, we expect Samsung to officially unveil how the phone will look and work.

With that in mind, it’s totally possible Samsung could also launch its own foldable phone at CES.

Later on in the day, Blass tweeted a response to an inquiry about the Samsung device:

It seems Blass is pretty confident LG will launch its foldable phone at CES, which certainly is exciting.

LG confirmed its intent to release a foldable phone earlier this month. We also saw some early design leaks of the device earlier this year.
