Get $400 off Pixel 3 (kinda) on Google’s Project Fi network

The front of the Google Pixel 3XL.

Looking for the best deal on a Pixel 3 or Pixel 3 XL? Google has announced that you can get $400 off either the new smartphones via Project Fi.

The deal isn’t quite as straightforward as a $400 price cut though — You’re actually getting a $200 discount off the device price, and a further $200 in credit towards monthly service charges. The credit (which doesn’t apply to data-only SIMs) can be used to pay for data, texts, phone calls and device protection.

The deal is available to both new and current Project Fi customers, but there is a limit of one device per person. The offer is set to last until November 27 at 11:59PM PT, or while units last (which won’t be long). It only applies to Pixel 3 devices purchased from fi.google.com and they need to be activated within 30 days of shipment. You’ll get the $200 off the handset price at the checkout but need to activate the phone before you’ll get the $200 credit. You can read the full terms and conditions here.

The Google Pixel 3 is a favorite of the Android Authority staff, offering an unbeatable camera experience, the fastest Android updates available, a super-fluid software experience and the incredible Night Sight camera mode, which needs to be seen to be believed. Project Fi is also well regarded around these parts, allowing you to network hop for the best cellular connection and always know what you’ll pay no matter where you are in the world. The combination of Project Fi and the Pixel 3 is a hard one to beat.
