Honor has a number of great offerings out there that cover all ranges of phones and budgets. From low-end phones, to flagships that make your mouth water, Honor is killing it. There’s also a little confusion among the models of phones, since 8 came before 7, and 9 is better than 10, so we put together a breakdown of the best Honor phones out there to help you sort through them.

Best budget Honor phones
Honor 7C and 7A
Honor is one of the few companies to bring dual rear cameras to the ultra-affordable price range, with both the Honor 7A and 7C smartphones coming with a 13MP + 2MP setup. Like all the new smartphones being released, both the Honor 7A and 7C also feature displays with an 18:9 aspect ratio. Both phones also come with 32GB of built-in storage, 3GB of RAM, and 3,000mAh batteries. There is also a 4GB of RAM iteration of the Honor 7C.
There are a few key differences between the two though. The Honor 7C features a larger 5.99-inch display, while the 7A comes with a 5.7-inch screen. It may not seem like a big difference, but users may appreciate the slightly more comfortable handling experience that is available with the latter.
The Honor 7C is not only bigger but also more powerful, with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor under the hood. On the other hand, the Honor 7A features the Snapdragon 430 processor. A version of the Honor 7C with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage has also been announced.
While unavailable in the U.S., the Honor 7A and 7C can be bought in most European markets, the Middle East, and India, priced at around $120 and $150 respectively. (Prices may vary depending on the market).

Honor 8X
Honor brings its bezel-less but notched design language from its more expensive flagships to the budget-friendly category with the Honor 8X. While its predecessors ruled the roost in the affordable range in the past, more intense competition in this space has resulted in Honor pushing the envelope and offering something unique.
The Honor 8X is a super-sized phablet with a premium design that stands out in the crowd. Despite its mid-range specifications, the Honor 8x includes support for the company’s new GPU Turbo technology. This feature should offer a better and smoother gaming experience by boosting the GPU and allowing for higher frame rates and reduced power consumption.
You also get a dual rear camera setup, with a 20MP primary sensor that a f/1.8 aperture and Phase Detection Auto Focus, and a 2MP secondary sensor for depth information. AI-based camera features are all the rage, and the 8X is no different. The front-facing selfie camera is no slouch either, with a 16MP sensor and a f/2.0 aperture.
Depending on the market, multiple iterations of the Honor 8X are available, with combinations of 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of built-in storage. With its enhanced features and capabilities, the Honor 8X isn’t as cheap as its predecessors when they were launched.
However, priced starting at around $200 (market dependent), the Honor 8X remains one of the best budget-friendly Honor smartphones out there. The Honor 8X is available in various European, Asian, and African markets.

Honor 10 / Honor View 10
Honor 10
Honor made a name for itself in the entry-level and mid-range markets, and the company is hoping to continue that success in the affordable flagship category with the Honor 10 and the Honor View 10.
Both phones feature the same processing package, RAM, and built-in storage as the Huawei P20 Pro, so expect great performance. There are obvious differences between the Honor devices and the Huawei flagship of course. If performance is what you’re looking for though, the Honor 10 and View 10 deliver a flagship level at half the price.
The Honor 10 features a beautiful notched display, with the now expected dual rear camera setup of 16MP and 24MP shooters. Up front is an impressive 24MP unit as well. The Honor View 10 features a standard design (no notch) and while a lot of its features and capabilities are the same as the 10, the cameras aren’t as good, at least on paper. Granted, the 16MP and 20MP rear shooters and 13MP front-facing camera definitely get the job done.
Honor View 10
In markets where both smartphones are available, the Honor View 10 is priced slightly cheaper than the Honor 10. The View 10 though is the only Honor smartphone on this list that is also officially available in the U.S., priced at around $450. Both phones have also been launched in various European and Asian markets.

If you’re looking for flagship power and a smartphone that can handle gaming easily on a budget, the Honor Play is one the best smartphones you can buy. Depending on the market, there are multiple variants of the Honor Play available with 4GB or 6GB of RAM to choose between.
The “standard” model is priced starting at around $275 (market dependent). There is also a more expensive special edition “Player” model priced at around $400 that brings a cool design on the back that you’d expect from a gaming phone. The Honor Play has been officially launched in various Asian and European markets.

Best high-end Honor phones
Honor Magic 2
After showing off the phone at IFA 2018, Honor officially launched its latest flagship smartphone – the Honor Magic 2 – in China. Seemingly every smartphone manufacturer is fighting towards a truly bezel-less design, and the Honor Magic 2 provides an excellent solution to getting rid of the notch. It’s not just about the design either.
Much like the also recently-announced Huawei Mate 20 Pro, the Honor Magic 2 also comes with the new Kirin 980 chipset, 6GB or 8GB of RAM, and 128GB or 256GB of storage. This all powers a 6.39-inch AMOLED screen (2,340 x 1,080) notch-less display.
The phone also packs six cameras, with three on the back and three on the front. The Honor Magic 2 comes with a 24MP f/1.8 monochrome camera, a 16MP f/1.8 standard shooter, and a 16MP f/2.2 ultra-wide camera (17mm) on the back.
The front cameras aren’t quite as spectacular as the main cameras, featuring a 16MP f/2.0 shooter and two 2MP f/2.4 snappers. However, this setup enables high-level 3D facial recognition for 3D Qmoji and face unlock. What is nice is the slider mechanism that has been implemented. This lets you slide the front-facing camera up manually when you need it. Rounding out the “futuristic” elements is an in-display fingerprint sensor.
The Honor Magic 2 goes on sale in China on November 6 and is available in Black, Red, or Blue. Pricing starts at 3,799 yuan (~$545) for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model and goes all the way up to 4,799 yuan (~$690) for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage version. Unfortunately, Honor has confirmed that the device will not be launched in other markets.
