These Galaxy S10 renders are terrible and still our best look at Samsung’s next phone yet

The Samsung logo.

Leaker Ice Universe (@UniverseIce) has posted a mock-up supposedly showing off what Samsung‘s next major flagships, the Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus, may look like.

The image depicts two smartphones using Samsung’s Bixby assistant, with the larger handset on the right representing the Plus model. Both phones contain a display hole-style front camera — the Plus model shown here with a dual front camera setup — and near bezel-less displays.

The renders are a bit of a mess, though — they are clearly flipped versions of the same stock image. The render on the right is just a slightly adjusted reflection of the one on the left (with the hardware buttons being one of the big giveaways). They also contain many visual artifacts.

For the record, Ice Universe often shares unofficial images based on leaked information and rumors that have a likeness to final products and the leaker doesn’t actually say anything about these being official. As with any unofficial render, take it all with a pinch of salt, but there’s a good chance what we’re seeing is a (very) rough approximation of the final product.

Editor's Pick

It’s an interesting turn of events as some much fancier Galaxy S10 Plus renders, these ones based on factory schematics, emerged online yesterday. However, the person responsible those renders, Steve Hemmerstoffer a.k.a. @OnLeaks, has since said there is “something wrong” with the images, and that an update is incoming. Incidentally, Ice Universe was one of those who suggested the Galaxy S10 Plus images and video may have been inaccurate.

Until we see something else from @OnLeaks, this is what we have; what are your thoughts on the potential look of the S10 and S10 Plus? Let me know in the comments.
