Here’s the first Fitbit tracker with a full display geared towards kids, likely a new line

Fitbit has made exactly one fitness band geared towards children: the Fitbit Ace. However, the device is simply a smart band with a tiny tap display and few features.

It appears the company is ready to change that as we’ve just seen renders of a new Fitbit kids activity tracker that includes a full display (via Techno Buffalo), likely featuring both tap and swipe gestures. The device comes in several bright colors and features playful icons and images, making it perfect for kids.

Although we can’t be sure yet, the device looks very similar to the Fitbit Inspire and Inspire HR, albeit encased in a colorful protective sheath. It’s quite possible the new Fitbit kids tracker will just be an Inspire with a new look.

We don’t know much else about the new tracker. It’s likely, though, that this will not be a Fitbit Ace 2 or another entry in the Ace line. Since this device has a larger display, it will be very different from the Ace and therefore will likely be the start of a new product line for the company.

It’s also likely the device will feature some degree of water resistance, being that this is a product geared towards children.

We don’t have any idea when Fitbit will launch this product, but since renders are leaking out now it probably won’t be too long of a wait.
